Chassis
Very narrow 3mm 7075T6 aluminium chassis, with machining on the upper face to make it lighter in strategic locations and to control flex. Kick-up front for proper landings. Angled side to increase cornering clearance, and secure and easy mounting side guards with 5 screws. Countersunk holes. Overall the Monster Truck is designed to keep the weight very central and near to the centerline as possible, to create a great overall balance.
Side guards / battery trays
Durable shaped composite extra large side guards / battery trays that follow the line of the chassis, and mount with 5 screws each side. Front and sides high enough to keep the dirt out. The guards/trays create a lot of stability. The batteries are mounted in longitudinal fashion, keeping the weight very low in the car. The battery trays features easy to use Serpent marked felcron TM straps to secure the batteries in place. Fits 2S and 3S batteries.
Motormount
The motor is placed in the most optimal position in the car, keeping motor-forces and transmission parts / alignment in mind. Only one-screw is needed to secure the BL motor, in the nicely designed durable machined aluminium motormount. Space for additional motor-cooling available as needed. The space for the motor allows mounting all popular buggy and monster truck motors.
Composite chassis braces
Allows the chassis to flex which helps improve bump handling. Front and rear.
Front bumper system
The durable composite front bumper system will absorb the worst of head on crashes and will allow for save nose landings
Rear bumper
The rear bumper section is a very durable unit, easy to disassemble, and fits well with the rear of the body, to absorb the worst of back-end crashes.
Front suspension
Very long and durable composite lower wishbones, combined with upper spring-steel trackrods. 2 lower shock-mount positions. Downstops can be used as needed.
Front steering / servo saver / angled
Innovative angled front steering assembly to reduce the angle of difference between the total caster and steering plane. Therefore you will have less bump steer and a truer steering Ackerman through the entire range of suspension.
Adjustable spring loaded servo-saver system with interchangeable Ackermann plates. With the design of the steering bell cranks when changing the Ackerman you will not need to adjust your steering tie rods. Very easy to access and set-up.
The Inboard Bell crank keeps the lever and linkage inside the car. It will aid in the prevention of damage to the steering system. Zero scrub radiuses on steering knuckle, helps reduce the jacking effect created by your steering knuckle offset. It provides a more direct fell while keeping the cars chassis more level while turning.
The front roll center can be changed quickly by moving the steering knuckle shims to their appropriate locations.
Topped off with a strong composite top-plate.
Front steering-block/c-hubs
Very durable front steeringblock/c-hub assembly.
Drive-shafts
Long and lightweight spring steel units with pressed in steel pins, laser-engraved. Same length front and rear.
Wheel-axles / wheel-nut
Serpent spring steel wheel-axles with grey anodized aluminium wheel hex-adaptors and aluminium wheel-nuts to keep the massive monster truck wheels/tyres on track.
Captured universal joints
Guarantees you will finish a race without losing a pin or set screw. All parts, axles and drive train components have capture pins
Front shocktower
Light, strong and durable machined 4mm aluminium units with 3 positions for shockangle and 4 positions for the camberlink.
Shock-set front and rear
24mm big bore shocks, with hard anodized precision threaded shock-bodies. Chromed shock-shafts for supersmooth shockaction. The larger o rings provide less overall pressure and a better seal without dragging on the shock shaft.
Suspension brackets
The hinge-pins are in durable composite suspension brackets secured with c-clips.
Receiver box / servo mount / speedo mount
Composite one piece radiobox to securely mount the servo, speedo and receiver. For optimum balance the light receiver fits the top-case easy, with a small opening to allow cable to protrude. The speedo seats very low on a plate just above the chassis, so short cables can be used to the motor. The servo is mounted in a vertical fashion.
Central diff
Optimized central gear-diff with 52T super-hard spur-gear. Very small, compact design to reduce rotating mass to the max.
Transmission shafts
Durable but light and thin Serpent spring steel, laser engraved shafts.
Front and rear diff
Optimized gear-diff with superhard diff-gears. Very small, compact design to reduce rotating mass to the max same version front and rear. Diff coupler in spring steel seated in large bearings for durability.
Rear shocktower
Light, strong and durable machined 4mm aluminum unit with 3 positions for shockangle and 4 positions for the camberlink.
Rear uprights
Durable composite rear uprights with 3 camber positions
Suspension brackets rear
The hinge-pins are in durable composite suspension brackets secured with c-clips .
Bodymounts
Nylon bodymounts with wider seating for the body, securely fastened to the shocktowers.

Features
Chassis and Rear Chassis skid plate
Composite chassis plate with a layout allowing for a perfect weight balance, and optimal space for the electronics, battery and servo. The front kick-up angle in the chassis incorporates more clearance for racing and allow for better nose landings.
The composite rear skid plate connects to the chassis plate. This connection allows you to unclip the rear end in one piece, but helps reduce the total cost of maintenance. It is also made from extremely high strength composite material.
Shocktowers and Shock absorbers
Durable composite front and rear shock towers, with multiple shock angle positions allowing to fine tune for varying conditions.
Dual system 12mm big bore shocks with coated threaded bodies, a unique cap design, a superbly sealing o-ring and spacer package.
Front bumper system
The durable composite front bumper system will absorb the worst of head on crashes and will allow for save nose landings.
Front wishbones and Front and Rear Track Rods
The long front wishbones are made from a super strong composite material. The arms are angled to optimize the CG and pivot on 3mm captured pins on the inside and out. The arms have 2 mounting positions for shock angle and are prepared to use an optional anti-roll bar if needed. Spring steel front and rear track rods are mounted to durable composite captured ball joints. The track Rods have L/R threading for easy adjustments.
Castor blocks Steering Block
The steering blocks fit 5x10x4 mm bearings. The caster blocks are very compact and strong units made from a special composite material.
Steering system and Ackermann
The steering system has a reverse swinging pivot system that optimizes the efficiency through all different types of corners
Uprights
Durable composite units. The rear hub uprights use a larger 5x14x4 outer bearing and 10x15x4 mm inner for ultimate lasting performance
Wheel-axles, wheel hex, trans case, rear arms
The spring steel wheel-axles utilized 12mm hex adapter to follow current market standards. The front springs steel axle is fixed, while the rear wheel-hex is a clamping aluminum version.
The composite rear transmission case is light and durable. It securely holds the motor plate, differential as well as supports the rear wing mount and rear shock tower.
The long and durable angled rear suspension arms are very tough units to withstand the rigors of the track and the hard landings. The rear arm offers 2 options for shock position and two mounting locations for the rear anti-roll bar if needed.
Battery space mount and weight balance
The battery is mounted perfectly in the center line of the car. Its an exact fit for saddle packs. In case of using a Shorty-pack, it can be moved to front or back to play with weight balance. Pieces of hard foam are supplied to do so and secure the battery in position. The carbon fibre battery-top-brace has a secure quick release system with handy alu twist nuts.
Clutch
The car features a solid slipper combined with a steel gear, to have a simple and durable system. The slipper clutch is optional.
Motor plate and motor guard
The motor plate comes in anodized aluminum.
Rear driveshaft system, wheel-axles
The spring steel drive shafts are thin and light, yet durable. The spring steel wheel-axles are 5mm, light and durable, guided by the 2 different size of bearings, inner 10x14x4 mm and outer 5x13x4 mm. The driveshaft pin is fully captured to prevent any failure. These bearings are for sure to stand up the rigors of any track condition.
Rear bumper
The rear bumper section is a very durable unit, easy to disassembe, and fits well with the rear of the body, to absorb the worst of back-end crashes.
Body shell
The light realistic looking MT style body, made in top quality clear polycarbonate, has a nice flowing line, steep front windscreen for down force .
Ballbearings and metric Fastners
High speed sealed stainless steel ballbearings with grease . Hard steel , mostly allen screws, roundhead and countersunk. Minimized number of different allen heads to make working on the car easier.
The kit comes complete with body and wheels, full color manual and exploded views, a blank and standard set-up sheet and Serpent decals.

Serpent designer Billy Easton, former 1/10 scale 2wd World Champion, and the designer of the successful Cobra 1/8 series of cars and the recent Spyder 2wd buggy in RM, MM and SCT, has created this next masterpiece, the rear motor SCT RTR version of the very popular Spyder series .
Serpent decided to create the Short Course RTR Truck based on the very popular Spyder rear motor buggy.
Features
Chassis
Composite chassis plate with a layout allowing for a perfect weight balance, and optimal space for the electronics, battery and servo. The front Kick-up angle in the Chassis incorporates more clearance for racing and allow for more nose landings.
Durable composite front and rear shock towers, with multiple shock angle positions allowing drivers to fine tune for varying track conditions.
Shock absorbers
Dual system 12mm big bore shocks with coated threaded bodies, a unique cap design, a superbly sealing o-ring and spacer package. The Shocks can be used in Bladder or Emulsion setups. The shock-set comes with a set of moulded pistons to choose from. A selection of 5 springs-sets is available to fine-tune the suspension settings. Shock Collars with inner o-rings are used on the threaded bodies to set-ride height.
Front upper bulkhead
The front upper bulkhead supports the upper links and shock tower in the best possible way. The front section offers the option to mount a front sway bar unit

Side guards
The side-guards or nerv-bars are an innovative construction. The sideguards are made wide, so it supports the sides of the body well. The inside of the guards are open, and can be filled with optional polycarbonate sheets. In jumps with SC cars you have the ballooning effect, as wind is captured under the body, losing stability. The closed section on the Serpent Spyder SC will largely prevent that from happening, creating better balanced jumping and more stability. The precut polycarbonate sheets come clear and can be painted in yr favourite color scheme too !
Differential
The gear-differenial is a super compact, effective and durable unit. The structure and assembly is common type in this class, but the high quality parts and well functioning will make it stand out. The height of the diff can be changed with optional inserts.
Clutch
The car features a solid slipper combined with a steel gear, to have a simple and durable system. The slipper clutch is optional.
Motor plate and motor guard
The motor plate comes in anodized aluminum.
Anti-roll bars
Anti-roll bars can be fitted on the front and rear of the car, but are optional. They can be used on high grip surfaces to further adjust the cars performance
Rear Transmission case
The composite rear transmission case is light and durable. It allows the driver to adjust the differential height to each specific condition. It also securely holds the motor plate, differential as well as supports the rear wing mount and rear shock tower.
Rear driveshaft system, wheel-axles
The spring steel drive shafts are thin and light, yet durable. The spring steel wheel-axles are 5mm, light and durable, guided by the 2 different size of bearings, inner 10x14x4 mm and outer 5x13x4 mm. The driveshaft pin is fully captured to prevent any failure. These bearings are for sure to stand up the rigors of any track condition.
Rear suspension brackets and toe in
The 3mm spring steel pivot pins are held in place by the suspension bracket made from aluminum. Inside the bracket you use inserts to set toe-in and roll center. You can adjust the toe-in from 2 to 4 degrees and adjust the anti squat from 0 to 4 degrees.

The long and durable angled rear suspension arms are very tough units to withstand the rigors of the track and the hard landings. The rear arm offers 2 options for shock position and two mounting locations for the rear anti-roll bar if needed.
